A Bit About Me
Sam Jaffe is an American Citizen who speaks English as his native language. At the age of seventeen he moved to Morocco where he studied Modern Standard Arabic for four years. Most recently, he obtained a MA degree from the University of Chicago Divinity School where he specialized in Middle-Eastern Studies and Arabic.
About my Classes
I use the custom-made Meridian Arabic program. I also take advantage of many secondary sources such as Thackstons arqbic grammar guide, the Cambridge grammar reference, al-Arabiyya Bayna Yadayk for higher-level readings, and occasionally assorted readings from classical works of Arabic literature (and even songs!).
